I came across this article  – 10 Places every girl needs to visit  posted by Gizelle Lau on TripAtlas.com.  In which she share her pick of 10 locations around the world that she feels would make great getaway destinations for ladies.

I was pleased to see that #4 were the Out Islands of the Bahamas: Deserted Beach Getaway, featuring Long Island.

And I thought wow, she is right – the islands of the Bahamas are indeed amongst the most secluded in the world.   You see the Bahamas has more than 700 islands and hundreds of cays and apart from the 20 or so developed and populated islands and cays – the rest of the island are pretty secluded. And in fact the Bahamas has more secluded islands than there are beaches in the other countries of the Caribbean combined. And each island has its own unique characteristics that makes it an interesting draw on it own.

And once you have experienced the Bahamas and its natural beauty, it wont be long before you start thinking about owning your own slice of paradise and buying property in the Bahamas.
